My wife has been battling insomnia for years and lately we've been trying to find ways to make our bedroom more conducive to sleeping. We bought an expensive new bed and that was great. But getting something to block out the early morning light seemed essential. So last week I ordered a couple Blackout EZ Window Covers. I installed the covers on both windows in less than a half hour altogether. The Velcro application is a no-brainer. The window cover material is strong and clearly durable but easy to cut--I simply ran open scissors to slice to the correct dimensions. The grid pattern makes it easy to determine the correct size. With the blinds back up, the window covers become an afterthought--except that no light gets in.

Last night was our first night/morning with the EZ covers installed. I slept great, and my wife pronounced herself thoroughly pleased. Our bedroom is now pitch black at night, aside from the little lights blinking on the TV or dots of orange light on surge protectors and the like. I'm thinking a few strategically placed strips of black electrical tape could make our bedroom ready to be transformed into a photography darkroom.
