72" Wide Blackout EZ Fabric (White/White)

I purchased 6 yards of the fabric. My daughter works night shift and even with blinds and room darkening curtains on her bedroom window, light is still a problem when sleeping in bright daylight. Her apartment faces east, so the morning sun is nice when she's off, but not when she needs to sleep to be ready for work. As it is an apartment with a strange size window, we made a custom hanging shade. The fabric was wide enough to give a couple inches of coverage on each side, then using a grommet kit, we folded the top of the fabric over creating a nice, table area to install grommets at the top and two "anchor grommets" at the bottom of the length needed to totally cover the window. Using 5 screws 4 inches above the top of the window, and 2 hooks at the bottom, the curtain is easily installed as needed, then unhooked, rolled up, and stored when her shift changes. Fortunately, the blinds were inside the window frame, so this hangs flat over the entire window between her blinds and curtains. looks good, works GREAT! With the remaining fabric, we're making coverings for the sliding glass door with grommets and suction cups as this fabric is also great for cutting out heat (and makes the apartments happy since anything on the windows that is visible to the outside has to be white)! SO GLAD we found you and this WONDERFUL solution to her need for sleep!
